Presentation of the Course
The course aims to provide students with a basic, well-structured mastery of philosophy both in its historical development and in its diverse theoretical areas, with a special focus on philosophical texts and on the various forms of philosophical argument.
This training will equip students with the ability to recognize conceptual structures operating in cultural processes; to apply knowledge of the philosophical tradition to the results of current theoretical research; to form, on this basis, independent judgements on political and social issues and on scientific questions which are relevant to the public interest.
